Fédération Française des Professionnels de la Pierre Sèche (FFPPS)
The French Federation of Dry Stone Professionals (FFPPS) is an interdisciplinary and transregional association, animated and managed by volunteers, all passionate professionals and very invested in the promotion of the know-how and technique of dry stone masonry. The objectives of the FFPPS are to:
- exchange with other practitioners, researchers, communities, professional organizations, etc.
- pool resources to go faster and further on its own territory,
- contribute to the recognition of the dry stone construction system and the specificity of the know-how,
- give visibility of the dry stone territories in France and the players in these territories
The objectives of the Rhône-Alpes Auvergne Pierres Naturelles Association are to promote natural stone applications and allied trades to specifiers and private and public authority customers in a collective spirit. Its flagship project in 2019 is the new Geographical Ascription "Marble from the Rhône-Alpes region".
For over 150 years, SNROC, the French Decorative Rock and Construction Industries Association, has represented and supported French companies specialising in natural stone quarrying and transformation. Its action extends to all the fields involving the collective and individual interests of all sector professionals. Its partners recognise its integrity and expertise. In 2007 the SNROC helped set up the Decorative Rocks and Construction department at the Natural Construction Materials Technical centre (CTMNC) and as President participates in all the projects implemented by the centre.
